Technical Support
Wall and Ceiling Bureau (WCB)
The Wall and Ceiling Bureau (WCB) is our technical department, dedicated to providing free technical assistance to our signatory wall and ceiling contracting members. The Technical Department has its own dedicated website: www.wallandceilingbureau.org. Supporting Contractors The WCB team supports union contractors by offering specification reviews in lath, plaster (interior or exterior), fireproofing, gypsum wallboard, metal framing, and EIFS. Our technical team gathers information on construction issues, visits projects, conducts assessments based on industry codes and standards, and offers project recommendations. They represent WACA’s contractors at various industry technical committees, including ASTM, ICC, ACI, AIA, and CSI. Supporting the Industry The WCB team specializes in various segments of drywall and plaster, serving as a technical resource to architects, contractors, building departments, and industry organizations.
