The Wall and Ceiling Bureau (WCB) is our technical department that focuses on providing free technical assistance to our signatory wall and ceiling contracting members. The Technical Department has its own dedicated website: www.wallandceilingbureau.org
The WCB team supports union contractors by offering specification reviews in lath, plaster (interior or exterior), fireproofing, gypsum wall-board, metal framing and EIFS. The technical team gathers information on construction issues, visits projects, conducts assessments based on industry codes and standards, and offers project recommendations. They represent WACA’s contractors at various industry technical committees, including ASTM, ICC, ACI, AIA and CSI.
