Mental Health in the Construction Industry

Understanding the issues related to mental health and suicide is a crucial step in preventing suicide, assisting those in crisis, and shifting the dialogue surrounding mental health and suicide.

Disturbing statistics reveal that the construction industry is one of the sectors most impacted by suicide. Our industry has the highest rate of prescription opioid use and a significant prevalence of alcohol and drug use. Recognizing the signs of mental health issues can make a difference in saving lives.

Here are some resources to educate yourself on how to save a life, support someone dealing with mental health challenges, and find support for yourself.
