Scholarship recipients will be recognized at the Construction Excellence Awards Show on June 8 at the Fairmont Hotel in San Jose and featured in industry trade magazines such as WACA's The Quarterly.
ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP
The Wall And Ceiling Alliance (WACA) is offering three (3) $2,500 Scholarships specifically for tuition assistance. The scholarships are designed to help further the undergraduate studies of students pursuing a Construction Management, Construction Engineering or Architecture degree program. Awards are granted without regard to student’s race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin.

UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY
- Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time student at a 4-year university.
- Applicant must be junior or senior level
- Applicant must be enrolled in a Construction Management, Construction Engineering or Architecture degree program
- Must demonstrate academic achievement
REQUIREMENTS
Applicant must submit all items by May 5, 2017. Please compile materials in the order shown:
- Completed and signed Application Form (page 2 and 3), including financial information
- Essay questions (page 3) should not be longer than 200 words
- A current, complete transcript of grades showing the last two academic school grades, including declared major. Transcripts must display student name, school name, grades and credit for courses taken. Please note if selected for the scholarship, official proof of transcripts will be requested to be declared a scholarship winner.
AWARDS PROCESS
- Applicants will receive an email acknowledgment of received scholarship application
- Correspondence through the application process will be via email ([email protected]) and telephone
- Applications will be reviewed and winners will be selected by WACA’s Scholarship Committee. The Committee will consider all aspects of applicant’s information: construction related field of study, grades, extracurricular activities, employment experience, financial need information and essay questions
- Applicants will be notified of scholarship evaluation status after the Awards Committee meets and selects the winners in May
- Selected Applicants may be asked to participate in a phone interview with a representative of the WACA Scholarship Committee
- Scholarship check will be mailed directly to the award recipient’s school to be applied towards tuition prior to the 2017-2018 school year
