Women in Construction: Our Commitment
WACA is dedicated to supporting the growth and success of women in the construction industry. We believe in empowering women to influence the direction of our industry and fostering a diverse, gender-balanced workforce. As part of our commitment to empowering women in our industry, we have established a WACA WIC (Women in Construction) committee aimed at fostering growth and development of women in our community. This new group is dedicated to supporting women in their roles, enhancing leadership opportunities, facilitating networking, and providing mentoring resources. We invite all women members to step forward and join the committee, helping us create a pathway for success in our industry. Together, we can make a significant impact and create a brighter future for women in our trade. Join us on this exciting journey! WACA Women in Construction Committee WACA has established the Women In Construction Committee (WACA WIC) to support and promote opportunities for women in the construction industry. If you are an active WACA member or a union labor partner and would like to be involved with our committee, please contact Technical Coordinator Sarah Thorvund at [email protected]. Finishing Trades Workforce Development Committee WACA has partnered with allied trades and DC 16 to create the Finishing Trades Workforce Development Committee (FTWDC) initiative.
