ABOUT THE AWARD
The scholarships are designed to help further the undergraduate studies of students pursuing a Construction Management, Construction Engineering or Architecture degree. Awards are granted without regard to student race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin. WACA has awarded over $75,000 dollars to scholarship recipients through this recognition and support of the next generation in the wall and ceiling industry.
UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY
REQUIREMENTS

UNDERGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY
- Enrolled as a full-time student
- California resident attending an accredited University of California or California State University
- Junior or senior level in process of earning degree
- Enrolled in a Construction Management, Construction Engineering or Architecture degree program
- Demonstrate financial need
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0
REQUIREMENTS
- Applicant must complete the online application form (below) by November 16, 2020
- Personal essay no more than 200 words
*Note: If you are selected as a recipient scholarship winner, we will request official transcripts to qualify your scholarship.
AWARDS PROCESS
- Applicants will receive an email acknowledgment of their submitted scholarship application
- Applications will be reviewed, evaluated and selected by WACA’s Scholarship Committee. The Committee will consider all aspects of applicant’s information: construction related field of study, grades, extracurricular activities, employment experience, financial need information and essay questions
- Selected applicants may be asked to participate in a phone interview with a representative of the WACA Scholarship Committee
- Applicants will be notified of scholarship status after the Scholarship Committee selects the winners
- Scholarship check will be mailed directly to the award recipient’s school to be applied towards tuition
